The Aspen Leaf's Hockey Team peaked at just the right time to defeat the Red Wings Alumni 7-3 at the ARC. The younger, more acclimatized Aspen Leaf's were agile, mobile and hostile en route to a solid, well earned victory. See the pix, click ICE TIME. Hockey was just part of the STIRLING CUP ALL STAR WEEKEND which included a golf tournament and plenty of VIP parties. The Stirling Cup is named in memory of the late Stirling Cooper. Charitable proceeds from the weekend were donated to Aspen Junior Hockey, AVSC and Aspen United Soccer.The Red Wings Alumni team came into Aspen with a strong squad of former NHL greats. Reed Larson, Denis Hextall, John Ogrodnick, Shawn Burr and Doug Brown to name a few.They were matched against The Aspen Leaf's, a hand-picked group of All-Stars from Aspen's elite Men's Open Division. >>For the full story go to Aspen-Spin.com
